I was able to do that and kept a copy of my communication with the coolshop worker.
I also received today that email with the 95 euro, I then sent them "a friendly reminder" that the price is 65.99 according to the price match, I immediately got an answer stating "yes, the price reduction is in our system too".
so far everything going fine on my side... just waiting for that 65 charge on paypal and the shipping confirmation to cancel amazon.de I really don't feel like scalping or selling it in any way, I am too busy for that and I am not in financial trouble.
I did price match, albeit for 70 iirc. Guess I'll see when they charge my paypal.
yeah, during the price match the guy told me it won't appear in the system at any time, only when they charge you'll see the right price.
that's why you need a copy of the chat conversation.
Do like I did and sent them a reminder if you want to be sure.
sure as hell you can cancel if they don't honor the price-match, maybe you can even sue them (just go to the local Verbraucherzentrale if you have the time and patience for that lol)

Update: Someone at coolshop managed to get my package just as they were about to load it into the delivery truck. Now I can just cancel the amazon preorder as well and buy just the regular edition. Guess I'll download a flac rip of the OST some time later, rest of the meech was never that important to me. Could have just waited to see if coolshop honored my price match, but I really don't feel like dealing with any more CS this week if they don't.
seriously, why wouldn't you just clear that up with an email or a chat?? why the rush to cancel??
you manage to preorder, you wait weeks, manage to pricematch, wait til release, you receive a random email with the wrong number and cancel? :/

the "confirmation" mails go out when they get their stock which is then followed-up by the shipping process.
That's the advantage of preordering so many months in advance, lots of time to figure out what you really want from the LE. In my case that was the OST, I'd probably never have looked at all the other stuff. Not interested in flipping it either.
Good news for everyone else though: Checked my paypal just now and they did honor the price match.

yeah I have that too but this is weird, I had to go to my paypal account to see it, I normally get an email notification when money moves...
I guess because they charged back then when we preordered the paypal system assumes it was already done? I wonder.
They charged some time between the first email with the price of 95 and the confirmation of my cancellation. At first I got an email saying the preorder couldn't be cancelled (at about 05:30am), then I got the mail from the coolshop CS who intercepted my package before they loaded it into the delivery truck (got that mal at 10:30am). At some point between those my paypal must have been charged, though I didn't get a notification for whatever reason.
Poor oti, I'd have sold him my coolshop order at self-cost.
Do not worry. I have a second pre-order at Media Markt for 70 Euros.
I think I'll just cancel my Amazon pre-order at this point.

Before the game comes out just gotta say one final f**k you to Nintendo Australia for not releasing this special edition in New Zealand/Australia. We get all the other crap Europe gets too but no, not this particular one you really really wanted.

I thought maybe I can get 50~100 euros if I resell it in a year but then I remembered I have a good paying job and little time to be sending stuff over the mail and decided against it...
with a tracking number to follow my coolshop order, there really was no need to keep that preorder.
you people in Australia and other territories should really be checking amazon.de for stock suddenly appearing due to lots of cancellations from locals, they ship internationally.

I don't understand why UK online shops don't send their games/pre-orders as soon as they receive them to mainland Europeans. GAME says it's packing the legacy edition since yesterday. Then send it already. There's no way i'm gonna receive it this friday. Probably 1 or 2 weeks from now. Logistics from the UK to mainland Europe is such a nightmare. It's so close, yet it takes ages. Same with Amazon UK, they don't send it till like a day before, like we are gonna receive it in time....
They used to send them out early which often meant people would get a game Thursday, and in some lucky cases Wednesday, and thus technically breaking the street date.
It seems in recent times there's been a crack down on this and now stuff is sent the day before by first class.
Sounds more like an issue with your bank if they see it as a fraudulent charge.

That's almost certainly down to your bank. Game can't deliberately make your bank trigger fraud alerts...
Yea, not GAME's fault. You probably don't buy often from GAME so they thought it was an unusual transaction. I've had this happen before with credit card alerts especially with stores from overseas.
Did they cancel your order? If so, they should have given you an opportunity to update your payment methods instead of just cancelling.
Edit: Nvm answered above. That's really messed up. Nintendo UK and Amazon always ask me to update my payment if it fails.
No option whatsoever, like amazon and NUK offer you yep. Game is plain shit. I got insta-canceled.
Well, that's a bummer.
Almost had a panic attack - woke up with texts from my bank saying the most recent transaction was declined and to confirm transactions on my account (the most recent one being the Nintendo Store). They have an often frustratingly over protective account security that blocks transactions and locks your card, but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. Luckily the UK Nintendo Store lets you go in and re-enter and re-attempt a payment - nice touch.
Woke up to an email saying there was a problem with my payment too, like a muppet I forgot to move funds across to the account being debited, but yeah, having the opportunity to resubmit saved me. PHEW! Still getting my Samus DS.
Had no issue at all with my Game order which is surprising. Then again last things I bought from them got delivered to an address that isn't even on the account anymore so anything could happen really.
Just noticed that I got a dispatch email an hour ago. I can finally rest easy now.

Glad you got it sorted. Yep game ecommerce system does not give this option. Hence my post as a warning
