I feel gaming as a whole has moved onto more focused experiences.

They are building something more than just Elite Dangerous. Perhaps some of us would like to have tactical combat versus the Vanduul.

Considering that this is Chris Robert's dream game that he's working on, I think he's gonna take every opportunity he can to fully realize it. I guess you could argue that that's not really a good thing.
