Golden Domers are chickenshit!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, the preseason is almost over and it's almost time for some college football. Until then, there is just the pesky business of the only preseason game played in all of college football. I don't understand why, with 120+ teams there's only one preseason exhibition game, but I don't make the rules. With that said, let's begin!

Pick 'Em is back, and lazier than ever!

So the pick 'em kind of fell apart last year because I got real busy at work. This year, I'm trying something different and actually trusting you sons of bitches. Here is the link to the spreadsheet (quote to see):

Input your own damn picks straight into it. Up until game time you can make any changes you want to it.

Each week, you'll have the same number on the spreadsheet for consistencies sake. So, while this week is just for funsies (being pre-season and all), if you want that sweet, sweet 001 spot, you'd best hop right onto it, a'ight?

That new season smell with a new thread smell!

Anyway, Indiana has to be wondering about realignment, where they could be a contender in the west if they were switched with Purdue. Now Maryland and Rutgers are slowly securing more top in state talent, making it even harder to break out of the east bottom as time goes on.

Rutgers > Texas Tech.

I'm going to make Texas Tech my random team of hate this year. I've decided I hate everything about Texas Tech.

From Lubbock, TX to your GQ cover coach who can't actually coach, to the fact that you pay a mediocre AD a lot of money to be mediocre.

Texas TECH IS MY HATE TEAM. Texas Tech is so irrelevant in the college football landscape that you guys are just happy for the attention and hatred. At least someone outside of West Texas cares about you guys.

Sorry, but r/cfb already decided that our HATED B1G RIVAL is Penn State earlier this offseason.

Use my dismissal to FUEL YOUR HATE

Aww man. Still in the community dungeon. And what's this about putting our own picks in? Where is TTK?

Suggestion for next week's OT title: Verne's Victory Lap.

That's a good title, but we should probably wait for CBS' broadcast to actually begin.

Tune into episode 4 of the decided schematic advantage podcast to find out and possibly a game preview!

We need to get more of the CFB guys in there, if only to let me listen to it like normal, rather than avoiding it to keep from hearing the horrible voice effect you guys gave me.

Next time if you get the levels right for us and you we could use your copy. Levels were way off. Was off on Az's as well but not as much.

Florida A&M defeated the University of Miami on Thursday.

In a practice game, that is, with the Miami Hurricanes’ scout team playing the roles of the Rattlers’ projected starters.

One more thing: coach Mark Richt said he spotted the scout team a 28-0 lead.

Miami fans can either bemoan the fact that UM’s first-teamers couldn’t overcome the 28-0 deficit to the scout team, or in the glass half-full scenario, be relieved that Miami’s scout-team players and backups — some were relegated to scout team to help depth-wise — hung in there for the victory.

Richt did not provide statistics for the game or give the final score.

This seems like another NAPAKNOWHOW sheet if you ask me. If you want, I can run it. I did something similar to this last year for my friends where I did 8 CFB games and 4 NFL games, and a tiebreaker. The tiebreaker was there to determine who won the week. I tried to get at least 1 game from each power 5 conference, as well as trying to get the maximum amount of ranked games. I can switch it up so it has no NFL games and just use some of the CFB games that I end up throwing away each week. I have a little Java program that looks at the entries and compares them against the winners and it spits out a record for each entry. The only caveat to the whole thing is that you have to have a google account signed in to fill it out, but I can't see the email addresses for any entry.

This is what my version would look like for Week 0: https://goo.gl/forms/zNcUUHAms1R6tKAz1

If A&M does poorly against UCLA, I'll sub in so all the UT-Austin fans can laugh at their non-rival, who they totally don't care about.

By all means, go for it.

'Sup, dudes. Dream job has kept me so busy that I haven't even cracked open all those football annuals I bought two months ago, let alone pay attention to preseason rankings and threads.

Who's still here from BuckeyeGAF? I see Bucknuticus and Floyd, but Adam? Bert?

I want to fast forward to UW in Eugene where we seal P12 North dominance (Falk will be dead by the Apple Cup again so that shouldn't be too big a worry).

Beat the stuffing out of those overrated POS Tar Holes.
Hope so. Not sure how to feel about the game at this point.

Dean Legge of Dawgpost/Scout is saying that the starting job at UGA is Easons due to sources inside the program that say Smart met with all the QB's and told them where they stood.

Eason has played with the first team exclusively this week and Lambert and Ramsey have rotated with 2's and 3's.

Time for the annual big write-up. For a slight change this year, I'll be cautiously pessimistic. This could easily be a 4-8 season for A&M. We're going to need continued improvement from the defense (though great job last year guys) and an offense that stops shooting itself in the foot constantly.

The Rundown:

Sep 3 UCLA 3:30-CBS Toss up, lean loss
Sep 10 PVAM 12:00-SECN Win
Sep 17 @AUB 7:00-ESPN / ESPN2 Toss up, lean loss
Sep 24 ARK TBD toss up, lean loss
Oct 1 @SC TBD win
Oct 8 TENN TBD loss
Oct 22 @ALA TBD loss
Oct 29 NMSU TBD win
Nov 5 @MSST TBD toss up, lean win
Nov 12 MISS TBD loss
Nov 19 UTSA TBD win
Nov 24 LSU 7:30-ESPN loss

That's four pretty much guaranteed losses, and of the four toss ups, I only lean win on one. I would love to be wrong. I would love to end up 8-4. I would love to beat Arkansas in regulation for once. I just don't see it.

Overall prediction: 5-7, Sumlin fired, Herman sought hard without success, bringing about the apocalypse - Lane Kiffin becomes the head coach of Texas A&M.
