Yooooooooo is playback viewable anywhere, I missed it this morning..looked on YouTube and Google for the recorded play this afternoon couldn't find shit...
Then I just came back from a BBQ got drunk ..n I can't even begin to look again now..

This is the true benefit of being a silent protagonist IMO - you can still RP your risen Guardians whilst playing multiple builds.
I'm looking at having one of each for sure, 3 heavy hitting brothers of light.
That's a month and some days being Destiny-less, there is definitely a need.
I dont have PS4 yet so im gonna be playing this on the PS3 most likely since from what i read ill eventually be able to just transfer my account to the PS4 (and i think that the PS4 ver will prob be superior bc the hardware has more power but i could be wrong) but ya so my question is a) will people on the PS3 be able to play online with PS4 like will it be the same servers? and if not whos going to also be playing it on PS3? I didnt get a chance to try the Alpha so im super super excited for the beta ^__^
No, there is no cross-platform play at all so you'll only be able to play with PS3 players. As for who's playing on PS3, as far as I've seen via DestinyGAF on Bungie.net, almost no one. PS4 is the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY.

I expect your characters to be accessible from any platform, hosted by Bungie.net, we'll see at the Beta!
I will be playing the Beta on all 4 platforms.
PS3 is the only platform on which you can play Destiny without an active PSN/XBL subscription. A used PS3 and used copy of Destiny is a budget solution for at least a couple years.

I expect you'll be let down on your first point. Your second point is correct, great value for destiny ps3 gaming.
Bungie at least has the capability to do cross-platform stuff, sounds like it's all up to Microsoft and Sony to allow it or not. I'm hoping they can push to at least take advantage of some small aspect of that.
Yeah I don't think this will happen either. Maybe you can load your characters from Bungie's servers on another of the same console that you're originally playing on, but I'm willing to bet against cross-platform character access.

Oh yeah, no doubt they have the capability. I just don't see everyone(see MS, Sony) playing nice. Although, there is the possibility that ps3 and 360(maybe xbone) could transfer over to a ps4 account(as they are allowing with GTAV) but I just don't see it happening, sadly. I'd love to be wrong.
I asked Dan Miller about this. He said the backend is capable of doing it but it's up to Sony and Microsoft to allow it to happen. He also apologized for "the very PR answer".

Microsoft, however, has not - they've always been resistant to allowing cross-platform support.

Nope, no confirmation of this at all. Maybe a while after launch, or when we go from Destiny 1 to 2.
Destiny Collectors Edition, and possibly the ability to download the Beta app early in prep for the servers going live on the 17th.

how is people who pre-ordered on PSN getting access to the beta??? Are they emailed codes or something after pre-order??? will there be a betadownload for pre-order only users???
If you preordered for digital downloads, you still get the beta, it will be unlocked for you to download automatically.

But in this case the inability to play Destiny across all platforms is really terrible and stupid, because it would be so amazingly cool to be able to hop into the same world from any system.

I'd love a CE option to either; include a digital version + goodies, or not include the game(for people who have the digital version) but include the goodies, and also the full shebang(game, +goodies) I'd like the goodies to be an art book, soundtrack, behind the scenes video, and maybe a cloth map. I don't need a Titan cat helmet (do I?)
On this subject, what would your ideal CE include?

An awesome 1:1 scale led lit Ghost w/ display stand (which seems to not be that big so probably very doable), full size art book, soundtrack, making of blu ray, the game w/ steel book case, leather bound journal that documents the events before the game takes place, and enamel pins.
the Alpha and Beta are designed to test the game before release, and not for maxing out chars to take over to the retail game, thats why we only get a small chunk from anywhere in the games story
If you'd rather be more concentrated on your character, loot and development, wait for the retail release

I can't honestly understand why people would want a Traveller statue. A Ghost would be cool, I guess, but I'd prefer a statue of the 3 classes or a miniature replica of one of the Exotic weapons.

The joke in the post is, the poster wants a copy of the traveler that is life sized. And who doesn't want that!? As long as it floats peacefully and protects us from the darkness! What could go wrong??!
