Went in hard on DRAGON QUEST XI launch while I was in Japan...

First watched this movie on the plane... had to get it on blu-ray (the Japanese blu-ray versions have English subtitles).

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark set just arrived, including the original artwork by Stephen Gammell, "whose ethereal ink pictures impacted a generation and helped lead to the book becoming the most banned from placement by the American Library Association for being too terrifying. A reprinted version of the books, released in 2011, replaces Gammell's original art with less haunting alternatives, but for many the damage was already done."

Anyway, here are my August 2017 pickups.

PS1 game: Oh No!
Been wanting to pick this one up for quite a while. It's not an expensive game or anything. But it's rather uncommon, it seems, and it's so quirky I had to have it.

MSX game: Ghost
Love the cover art. Love how they made the box look like the European HAL Labs MSX releases. Fits right in with the HAL games. It's a pretty neat Metroid style homebrew game that got a cartridge release.

PSVita games: Gal*Gun - Double Peace Collector's Edition, Criminal Girls 2 - Party Favors, DariusBurst CS - Chronicle Saviors, Period Cube - Shackles of Amadeus, Collar x Malice, Hyperdimension Neptunia U - Action Unleashed, Hyperdevotion Noire - Goddess Black Heart, Superdimension Neptune - SEGA vs Hard Girls, Bard's Gold, Yomawari - Night Alone, Sword Art Online - Hollow Realization, and Velocity 2X Critical Mass Edition (with art booklet)

Vita collectors may want to pick up those European Aksys releases sooner rather than later, because from release they were almost nowhere to be found, even online. So I can't imagine them having gotten a large print run.
Just a couple of games short now of owning every physically available English language Vita game released from 2012 to 2016. Don't think I'm ever going to pursue a complete set for any system again though, even if they're relatively small like the Vita library.

PS4 games: Rive, Aerea Collector's Edition, Torment - Tides of Numenera Day One Edition, Dragon Quest Heroes II Explorer's Edition (with DQ T-shirt), and Sine Mora EX
Grossly overpaid for Aerea. Thought it would actually come in a box or something. Should've looked into it a bit more before ordering this. Anyway, these things happen.

PS3 game: The Walking Dead Game of the Year Edition
When I ordered this I had actually hoped to receive the European release (as was advertised on Amazon too), which seems far more uncommon and has really gone up in price too. So yeah, that was a bit disappointing as well.

3DS games: Pokémon Sun, and Pokémon Moon
These games were &#8364;25 a pop at a local store, which is probably as low as they're ever going to get.

For those who don't know, Xiaomi have been making what are arguably the best under €20 earphones on the market for the pas 2-3 years. These are their latest hybrid drivers and they are simply amazing. Truly giant killers. I would never dare to use my hi-end earphones on my commute, but these are a VERY nice compromise.

Your vita must be on 3.60 and running Henkaku. The module points your memory card slot to the gamecard slot which uses a memory stick you've formatted. They don't really stick out but afaik you have to use tweezers to get it back out since there's no spring mechanism atm. Some people have made cases to alleviate that.

All of a sudden I wanted to read Transformers comics. Seems confusing on where to start, and what I should actually read. I have some comics from years ago from the Dreamwave guys but I'm missing a few of those and I'm not sure if it's worth it to actually buy them.

Been wanting to play Dragon Quest Builders since I tried the demo. Finally got around to buying it. For some reason it was "For Prime members only" on Amazon when I bought it. I don't know why that was the case, but it was only 30 bucks and I'm happy I can play the full game now. Too bad I played for a few hours and didn't save my first session (what a maroon!).

I don't know why I put off re-buying one of these for so long, but I finally got another. My first one broke, like the wire near the connector got fucked and made screeching noises for me and the other party so I just stopped using it. Good to know that I can chat now if I needed to, I don't play multi that often though.

This came in the mail today (huh... I didn't know USPS worked on Labor day). The only games I need now are 2 and 3 to complete the series (10 and 11 excepted). Kinda sucks because 2 and 3 are the ones I want to play the most right now.

- Silicone thumb pads
- USB-C extension cable (not pictured)

All parts fit perfectly and now I'm more comfortable with taking it out on the road. And with the extension cable, I can dock/charge the system without having to take it out of the case.

Really want destiny 2 on pc but since it's almost 2 months out we are getting it on Xbox one and trading it in before the PC version comes out. I don't think I could wait 2 months without hearing some spoilers or falling to the hype.

Got the steam link for $15 on Amazon a few days ago. Not real impressed with it but only played with it for a few minutes. Not sure if I wired it if it would act better but killing floor just hung and didn't do anything when I tried that.

How do you like the Mumba case?

love it, the chunky back makes the switch easier to hold and the plastic doesn't feel low quality. All the ports are accessible minus the kick stand. Add a USB-C extension cable, you'll never need to dock it. I think its the best 3rd party case you can get right now.

Been a very long time since I posted a pick up. Here is a shit load of stuff from since about April?

Came in the other day. It is all 18 available Zelda Amiibos in had plastic card form. Works exactly like an Amiibo would as it has the chip in the card. Got it for about $20 on Ebay. It can also be found on Etsy.

Ran over to GameStop on my lunch break today. Not sure why as I do not care for the store OR there business model. Glad I did though! Cave Story With slip cover for cheap as fuck. Also the Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival even though a terrible game It was new but labeled used as it is on clearance for dirt cheap with the Amiibs!

And a bunch of games.
