And Broken Sword can be added to the list of games with a delayed release date while they try to cram in spending all the extra money they got. Not a huge surprise, and not a disappointment!

Pro Wrestling X guys doing what they should have done during their Kickstarter, releasing the alpha version they have now and letting people pledge to get it and the full game. If they had done this on Kickstarter (pledge $5 and get instant access to game), it probably would have drummed up way more attention. But now they are doing it on their own website, which will probably go unnoticed by most:

http://uprising.prowrestlingx.com/

Wow that EvoCreo thing looks like it's literally using Pokemon sprites mixed together to create "new" creatures.

They really need to open up development on that. Their tiny, understaffed dev team isn't enough.

There's lots of people who can help out if they'd take the plunge.

Literally is a bit of a strong word. The most you could say is the right sprite looks like squirtle, but what does the one on the left look like? Granted I haven't played pokemon games since diamond and pearl, so maybe your claim has merit. I know that the art in this game is not as unique as it should be or as I would have liked it to be but we are not in the final stages of the project and will most likely be updated to stand out more later on. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to look at the project even if your post was critical of the project. It can only serve to make the game better:) .

Hmm your gentleman a lot like Pokemon gentlemen, http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Gentleman_(Trainer_class).

The other trainer looks really familiar too(not in the main game but maybe in pokemon ranger or something) ....

The businessman was actually a test sprite that I used for all NPC's, and is not a final sprite I can assure you. The player however is close to the style of the final sprite, so if it looks too similar to something from pokemon then I have a problem. Thanks for the feedback.

A week left and ~$13k to go for Telepath Tactics, a PC SRPG Fire-Emblem-like with single player, multiplayer, and custom maps/campaigns support. The total goal is just $25.5k and they're having a hard time reaching that despite showing all they need the money for is polish and content assets since they even have a demo to showcase the engine and style with. To think at one point I was hoping they could reach their $100k stretch goal that would transform the game into a CRPG. Thread.

At least Antharion was funded, though it would be cool if they reached some stretch goals too as they've also shown they have what it takes to complete the game with their videos and development details. Two weeks left for these guys. Thread.

Both are dead on GAF, for shame.

Look hardcore to the max.

Challenging gameplay. Hectic combinations of environmental hazards, platforming, and lethal enemies reward players who assess, strategize, and stay attentive.
Mindful level design. The player's experience is managed by a carefully-paced series of dangers and savepoints.
A somber and expansive open-world connecting many areas in a network of pathways and shortcuts. Hidden areas and optional content encourage exploration.
Hand drawn cut-scenes help illustrate the vast and desolate setting of the game.
A "module-based" character progression system. Players obtain and arrange upgrade pieces on a grid in configurations of their preference, with certain patterns granting additional abilities or bonuses.
Players who die in-game die in real life.

Cores, shaders and BIOS oh my!
Why keep reporting Antharion's previous unsuccessful campaign still when it's got a successful ongoing one.

And yay, it's currently like ~100 bucks less than their first campaign's goal (which is a stretch goal this time) with 8 days left.

Telepath Tactics is not going to make it with 14 hours to go and $16,092 of $25,500. Greatest fucking shame. Pledge people.

thanks for pointing that out, I honestly forgot to remove it from there.

Telepath Tactics is not going to make it with 14 hours to go and $16,092 of $25,500. Greatest fucking shame. Pledge people.

Sadly, I don't see this one hitting its goal unless it gets a lot of attention in the next 14 hours. Barkley 2 has 3 hours left to go as well, but it long surpassed its goal and hit 150k. The Ship: Full Steam Ahead and Scarecrow Samurai don't look like they will have any chance either....

Elite: Dangerous is actually on route to hit its goal though. needs less than £250,000 in 7 days... but that is still a lot of money when you convert it to US dollars, that is still around $404,236 US dollars

I've just backed an unfunded project that sounds amazing, but has an incredibly small chance of actually being funded.

Epic Arcade Project

29 backers / £1,141 pledged of £285,000 goal / 5 days to go

To build an arcade in the UK like the ones thriving in Japan. Classic games. New games. Everything in-between. 3 floors. 200+ games. The arcade will be based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Link.

I'm a big fan of arcades however always end up disappointed when I visit ones here in the UK. Blackpool, Manchester, Scarborough and Cleethorpes are all ones I visited often as a kid. They're not as good nowadays. I live near Edinburgh at the moment and I think it would be incredible to have an arcade like this so close by. I think the Kickstarter project could have been handled much better though and sadly raising the amount of money they need in five days is sounding pretty impossible. I'd love to see it happen though, so I threw what I could down. Hopefully others will follow suit, or at least the the founder will give it another shot with a better funding structure.

Cores, shaders and BIOS oh my!
That sounds amazing but of course only locals would fund and then use that. Get it in your local news etc to help if it's legit. That money doesn't sound like much at all to me if they really intend for that large a space and that many games, am I right?

Kickstarter GAF, I'm looking for a few people to review my Kickstarter campaign preview and take a survey on it. All told it should take <30 minutes and everyone that takes the survey is eligible to receive a free copy of the game if it is funded. If you're interested let me know and I'll send the links.

I'd be willing to do it, if it doesn't require any particular knowledge of a theme or game genre I might not be familiar with.

Here's a promising one:

Meriwether: An American Epic
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/meriwether/meriwether-an-american-epic

"I’ll just come right out and say this: Meriwether is absolutely fascinating." -- Adam Smith, Rock, Paper, Shotgun

"I actually had a chance to play this game about a year ago and found it extremely involving, even at such an early state. From the looks of their Kickstarter page, the game has improved by leaps and bounds since then." -- Andy Hull, TIGSource

"Meriwether: An American Epic is going to take an important step forward in terms of bringing together great gameplay with reality-based drama..." -- Richard Lemarchand, Lead Designer of the Uncharted Series

"Coming Out On Top", is a video game where you play a college guy who finally comes out to his best friends. The night of your announcement, you meet a mysterious stranger who wants your number. Of course, things aren't so simple, and it's just a matter of time before all hell breaks loose.

The game could be called a dating sim, a visual novel, or an interactive story. By making choices, you affect your relationships and determine the ultimate outcome of the story.

The story is a comedy with a touch of romance, lots of drama, and laced with erotic situations.

Kickstarter GAF, I'm looking for a few people to review my Kickstarter campaign preview and take a survey on it. All told it should take <30 minutes and everyone that takes the survey is eligible to receive a free copy of the game if it is funded. If you're interested let me know and I'll send the links.

Drop me a PM and I'll gladly help

I liked this pledge, I think there is potential here and the style and ideas are nice, put in the "Remind me" category:

Scroll Ninja

Made a pretty big pledge for Elite 4, I think is going to happen after all this years waiting. So happy. Going to necro-post in the actual Elite 4 thread, I'm surprised it's not receiving any attention after the last updates.

Glad to see Antharion making it too, was looking to do a basic back for it. Kudos to Alextended for heroically updating the thread about it.

Hm looks really good, I'll probably chip in for this one.

Wow, it does indeed, I had not entered because the art didn't appeal me and I actually thought it was some kind of music game, lol.

Not surprised it reached its goal so fast, looks great indeed.

15 hours to go for Dream and it needs 8.5K.

Things also aren't looking good for it's future.

So things aren’t looking too great. Only 24 hours left and we still need almost three quarters of our funding to reach the goal. The truth is it’s starting to look a lot like we might not be able to continue working on Dream in the new year. We’ve had some time to plan and see what alternatives we have available to us, as we spent the past couple weeks with our families for the holidays, but one by one every back-up plan has fallen through or been false hope from the start.

We’ve loved working on Dream for the past 6 months, it’s been challenging and we’ve had a lot to learn but it was the best 6 months of our lives so far, we were doing something we really loved doing. The problem is last time we tried paying the rent with love things got weird and he doesn't call us anymore...but in all seriousness our next batch of bills comes in January and with all of our own money having gone into working on Dream full time we don’t really know what's going to happen to us next.

I really hope this isn’t the last update I have to write about Dream and to everyone who has pledged to us, or supported us in anyway, thank you. It’s been amazing.

And this was one of the first Steam Greenlight games.

Dungeon Keeper? NAY! War for the Overworld!
Oh god! This is looking great! Even got a playable demo!

It's also on Greenlight.

Am I missing something with this? I could lay down the tiles that correspond to barracks, library etc but then it does nothing. I can possess a imp but all I can do is make it hit nothing. I couldn't even find a way to quit the game when I was done looking at it. I know it's prealpha but there doesn't seem to be anything at all to actually demo so why does that exist?

I have to say I went in expecting to be interested enough to back but it had the opposite effect. I'm actually wondering if these people are as inept as the demo makes them seem. Sorry if the makers see this as I know it's harsh but I'm genuinely puzzled why anyone would release something like that to try to entice people into backing this.

I just found out about this Kickstarter today. The core of the team seem to be from the Links 2003 community. There seems to be some talent behind the group and hopefully it will develop a community like Links did back in the day.
