Conor’s education begins in the 'Busted Femur' pub where he’s introduced to no-nonsense barmaid Jules and fellow mountain rescuer Bill, who spends every living hour looking after his dogs, resulting in somewhat questionable social skills. And as if that's not enough to contend with, Conor later meets Bernie, the mountain rescue team's head of operations, a woman who's happy to the point of delirium in her work.

When the actual mountain rescuing begins, things go from bad to worse, to even worse than that.

How is there this much on during the Summer? I was supposed to catch up on a few older shows.... I'll look through the list and figure out what I'm going to watch.

Excellent thread. Bookmarked. Yeah there does seem to be a lot of interesting stuff coming on this year. I'll be checking some of it out for sure.

I already checked out the pilot for Penny Dreadful which I really liked as well as the first two episodes of Salem which I liked as well but not as much as Penny Dreadful. Both shows I plan on continuing to watch to see where they go. I would suggest them to anyone looking for a worthwhile horror show or two.

Excellent stuff, Ratsky!

Going down the list, I will probably check out...

Never heard of The Dog Thrower, but I'm in it for Perry.

Maybe The Killing Field, if it's good.

24!

Rosemary's Baby

Penny Dreadful. Loved the pilot.

Crossbones

The Escape Artist

The Musketeers maybe

Rush maybe. I check out most USA shows the first few episodes. Feels like the network's going for more edgy stuff nowadays.

Legends. Sean Bean might not die!

Sam Neill has a new show? Hm...

The Knick maybe.

Wayward Pines seems neat.

Dominion is an epic supernatural drama set in the near future. Specifically, 25 years after "The Extinction War," when an army of lower angels, assembled by the archangel Gabriel, waged war against mankind. The archangel Michael, turning against his own kind, chose to side with humanity. Rising out of the ashes of this long battle are newly fortified cities which protect human survivors. At the center of the series is the city of Vega, a glistening empire that has formed from the ruins of what was once Las Vegas.
I swear I watched this movie

stealth edit: holy fuck it is based of the movie

only really interested in this, 24 and Last Ship
maybe Legends because of Sean Bean

I kind of like to take it easy TV-wise in the Summer, but this thread makes me think that won't really be happening.

Also, the key art for Wedding Planner Mystery is to die for.

24! I still can't believe Jack is back. It's going to be interesting to see how this season turns out, since they won't have to do so much filler. I hope we get a season 10 this time next year.

The Night Shift. Don't know what anyone would considering watching anything else.

----------------

Okay, for reals:
Returning:
-24
-Louie
-Masters of Sex
-Wilfred
-Maybe Maron?

New shows:
-Halt and Catch Fire
-Legends
-The Knick
-Tyrant
-The Leftovers

Great work with the list!

Shows I'll be watching:
  • Louie
  • 24: Live Another Day
  • In The Flesh
  • Penny Dreadful
  • Rectify
  • The Leftovers
  • Legends
  • The Strain
I'll have a proper read through the list though and see if there's anything else I fancy trying as there's a lot I haven't come across before.
Wasn't even aware of this reimagined adaptation of Rosemary's Baby until I saw it on this list either so I may check that out too, for curiosity's sake more than anything. The thought of it kinda puts me off as the movie is one of my favourites but then Bates Motel did too before I gave it a chance.

I'm looking forward to Hotel Hell season 2 (with the season premier on my birthday no less). I love Kitchen Nightmares and Hotel Hell.

Other then that doesn't look like much for me. I'll probably watch True Blood and Under the Dome for something to watch, but I don't think either are great shows. Wayward Pines looks like it may be interesting, I'll probably check that out.

Ugh, c'mon. This thread isn't nearly as thorough as it should be.

Amazing job per usual. I'll post my list later.

A fairly weak lineup of new shows IMO, I will give the following a shot though:

Dominion
Penny Dreadful
Legends
The Strain
The Last Ship (Rhona Mitra is one of the most beautiful women on the planet, plus it looks good so win/win)
The Leftovers
24: Live Another Day

This poster pulses with an appeal so broad the typical restraints of our societies fall by the wayside.
Super excited for 24 and Louie, but not much else.

Extreme Weight Loss (or Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition or whatever it's called) is my guilty pleasure. I can't stand The Biggest Loser, but I really like this show for some reason.

Hot damn, that's a thorough OP.

Secretly/Proudly excited for for Mistresses season 2. A spoiler-ish recap of what plot points they've already used for season one:
- being a widow, widow being blackmailed by dead husband's baby mama mistress, finding said dead husband to be alive and well
- exploring bisexuality with one half of a lesbian couple you just showed a house to, be in a committed lesbian relationship, break that committed lesbian relationship by hooking up with your male boss
- have an extramarital fling with your co-worker, find out your pregnant but don't know who's the father, plan to have the baby anyway, hide the paternity test from everyone, get into a car crash, end with your heart stopped in limbo in the season finale
- have an affair with an older married patient, have said patient die, be accused by investigators that you prescribed the pills said patient overdosed on, ruin evidence of patient notes for fear of losing your practice, get stalked by dead patient's son, finally get seduced and sleep with dead patient's son, find out dead patient's wife was the one to kill him and trying to pin it on you, end the season with you, murderous wife, and the son all fighting for control of a gun which shoots someone. Oh, and you're played by LOST's Yunjin Kim given the most ridiculous character motivations while sober.

Honestly, the only way for season 2 to go is this:
- the widow finds out the real reason her husband faked his death... he's tied up with the mob and they put out a hit on him.
- the faux lesbian gives up sex and joins a convent only to fall in love with a fellow nun... who's a transgendered hermaphrodite.
- have the pregnant girl deliver twins from two daddies while aboard a cruise ship being held hostage by the crazy boss who wants to buy her babies.
- Yunjin Kim's character takes up drag racing to feel "alive" and accidentally kills a pedestrian woman in a hit and run... but not before bedding that woman's hot son!

Great thread Ratsky.

I'll watch:

24, Louie, Maron, Penny Dreadful, Wil Wheaton, Crossbones (if it gets decent reviews), Halt and Catch Fire (if it gets decent reviews), Orange is the New Black, Rectify, Defiance, True Blood, The Leftovers (on a short leash--the trailers look awful), Ray Donovan (I pay for Showtime and am a glutton for punishment), Masters of Sex, Wilfred, The Strain, Tyrant, and The Bridge.

Damn, I guess summer will have more stuff to watch then I was thinking it would.

awesome thread. had no idea there was going to be a rosemarys baby show, any info on it? hows it looking?

Ahhhh, summer TV and lots of garbage tier shows. I'll basically watch the World Cup and then spend my free time outside of reading.

From this list:

Louie - best comedy on television
American Ninja Warrior - my reality show guilty pleasure
Wayward Pines - liked the first two books, new one this summer
Outlander - wife is ecstatic...looks awful

24 will be awesome. Also, loving Fargo (It counts right?)

What happened to Adam Richman though, he looks rough.

At least we have the World Cup!

Attack on Titan (I could watch the first handful and then finish on Blu-ray)
The Musketeers
The Leftovers
The Strain
Togetherness
Tyrant
You're the Worst
-------------------------------New shows
24
The Bridge
Space Dandy
True Blood
--------------------------------Returning
Game of Thrones
Fargo
Orphan Black
--------------------------------Finishing their seasons.

I don't there is enough time in the day or week for me to get all those new shows in.

Glad everyone likes the thread! It took me a little longer than I would have liked because my internet went down for an entire day, so that's why I didn't get it up yesterday. Better late than never though, eh?

How is there this much on during the Summer? I was supposed to catch up on a few older shows.... I'll look through the list and figure out what I'm going to watch.

No kidding. There is a metric ton of stuff airing in the next few months. I still hope to go through some of HBO's older series this summer, but it's going to be a hard thing to balance, that's for sure.

Also, the key art for Wedding Planner Mystery is to die for.

It took me forever to get the wording down right :p

A spoiler-ish recap of what plot points they've already used for season one:

Good lord.

Outlander - wife is ecstatic...looks awful

Suits, best series I've seen in YEARS.

Smart, stylish, funny, tense, fast-paced and an incredible cast.

As always, great thread Ratsky.

Penny Dreadful OT up.

Orange is the New Black and I'll try to marathon through True Blood now that it's finally ending. Never really liked the first 2-3 seasons of True Blood, which is why I dropped it a few years ago already, but for some reason I want to see it all...

Oh, and I'll probably watch the new 24, but not immediately, as I've yet to see all the earlier seasons.

Fantastic thread, Ratsky. Thanks for putting everything together in one thread, will make following certain shows a lot easier.

Also, The Dog Thrower was great. Really enjoyable. Nosferatu In Love is next in the Playhouse Presents series, stars Mark Strong and looks incredible.
